As of 1 July 2011 a number of changes apply to migration programs to Australia.

There is a new points system, which places more importance on stronger levels of English, higher qualifications and more work experience. Also the age up to which you can apply has been increased to 49, however no points are awarded for people who are older than 45. In addition, the government has announced a major reform in the way migrants are selected, with a proposed skilled migrant selection register. The applicants should first express their interest to migrate online and then wait to be invited to submit an application. This proposal is under review and is expected to launch on 1 July 2012. How to Transfer Money Overseas
