Beautiful native animals and some of the rare and threatened species of the world have found home at one of the best spots in Sydney.

Who is this Sydney Zoo Suitable for?

Some love wildlife others don't, but visiting this Australian zoo is a unique experience. It is much more than watching animals. So who should visit and why?

Families with children. Kids will be enchanted by the cuddly koalas, the playful chimpanzees, the meerkats or the lazy kangaroos sleeping in the shade. And they will love the young elephant calves.
Anyone wanting to enjoy a great day out, watch and get to know more about animals and relax in the harbour.

This is one of Sydney attractions, on the must see list. You can spend the whole day there. There are various tours, activities and shows that get you really close to animals.

You can pack a picnic bag and have lunch on the lawn. But if you don't want to bother there are several food shops and ice cream and drinks stalls.

For the more adventurous of you, there's even a sleepover experience. In deluxe tents with bedroom and bathroom. Wine and dine admiring the harbour views and wake up to the call of the wild. Then watch how animals have their breakfast. And learn a thing or two about life at the Sydney zoo from your hosts.

Taronga Zoo Sydney - How to Get There

Take the ferry from Circular Quay for a great 10 minutes or so ride on the water. Then hop on the Sky Safari cable that will take you to the main entrance. You can walk and enjoy the environment, animals and views if you don't want to go by cable.
Sydney Buses will also take there. To get more information check on www.sydneybuses.info.
Drive and leave your car in the zoo car park. Head there early as parking spaces fill up quickly, especially during school holidays.
