Australian glamour models Megan Gale, Miranda Kerr and Lara Bingle are three of the Australian celebrities that are highly paid to be the ambassadors for leading cosmetics and fashion houses or retailers.
They started on the catwalk, feature in ad campaigns, endorse brands and of course promote the tourist attractions in Australia.
And they also tried their hands at acting, whether in movies or advertising spots.
Megan Gale is an Australian top model who was discovered via a modelling competition when she was 18.
She rose to fame and launched her international career on the catwalk in Italy. In 2003 she represented the Australian Tourism Commission in this country.
Megan did some advertising, acted in a couple of Italian movies and played an Italian supermodel in the Australian film "I Love You Too", released in 2010.
In Australia she had a contract with department store "David Jones", between 2001 and 2008, and she is still their brand ambassador.
She promoted Australian designers Alex Perry, Collette Dinnigan, Sass and Bide.

Miranda Kerr took over the "David Jones" contract from Megan Gale.
Unlike Megan, she started modelling as a teenager. She won the model competition of the Dolly magazine in 1997, when she was just 14. Her photo in the magazine created quite a buzz in the media with concerns that she was too young for this.
Raised at her grandmother's farm in New South Wales, Miranda is the "girl next door" type: sporty, fit and easygoing.
Just the type the surf brand Billabong was looking for to create the right perception in the minds of the beach lovers. So she modelled a lot of beach wear.
Miranda appeared in magazines such as Australian Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar.
She took her career to New York, where she worked for the Maybelline cosmetics brand. This pushed her career further and she landed a contract with the lingerie giant "Victoria's Secret" in 2007.
Miranda is one of the world's top earning models. She married Orlando Bloom in 2010 and gave birth to her first child, a son, in January 2011.
Lara Bingle is another sporty, surf loving girl. She started to model in Italy and is currently promoting the Speedo swimming gear.
Her name is associated with the controversial "So where the bloody hell are you?" advertising campaign, where she shot some beach scenes.
Despite showing Australia as a dream destination to holiday, with beautiful beaches and lovely, welcoming people, the ads failed to achieve the success of Paul Hogan's iconic "Slip another shrimp on the barbie" ad. Some countries even banned it because the language used did not seem appropriate.
Lara Bingle appeared on the covers of various magazines and does advertising for big brands such as Vodafone or Speedo.
